central locking only opens drivers door??

The 3B Passat has a convenience system almost identical to a Golf 4, just a few extra features, closely related door locks AND more likely to go wrong because of where they put the control unit. They don't tend to get hung up like the Golf 5 system does.

Yes, I have two passats and the early one had to have the bare joints in the passenger footwell remade.
At least the later one had some shrink wrap at the factory - but the general design is rubbish!
The early one (99) has been OK for a good while but is now setting the alarm off after just a few minutes. Currently I'm getting round this by manual locking with the door buttons. Not a long term solution though!
Will VCDS pick up the alarm trigger point? I suspect driver's side rear door as this takes an extra 'plip' to open.

Yes there is a data block (can't remember the number) which shows the last four trigger values and there is a look up list attached to show what the numbers mean. I can't post the list as I am on the sofa chillin....
