A4 price increase post VAT change?

Can someone please confirm if Audi have posted a cheeky price increase whilst implementing the 17.5% to 15% VAT change - the list price is now...A4 Avant 2.0TDi 170PS £25,455 OTR? Plus down specced the A4 SE & S-line by removing rear parking sensors from the standard equipment list and adding them to the options list at a cost of £345 inc VAT. Does anybody have a September price list to confirm or otherwise?

P.S Has anyone driven the 170PS and is it worth the extra vs the 140PS?

My SE was delivered on Saturday and can confirm no parking sensors

I thought the rear parking sensors were removed some time ago and the car reduced in price to show this.

Thats right I think 08 plates had them but by the time 58 plates came in they were gone.

With the £/Euro going the wrong way for importers, will be interesting to see how long Audi and others can hold off more increases.

I think they will rise to. They are not selling many, constant wage demands from the Unions in Germany, threat of strikes and the £/Euro exchange at the moment.

I think price increases can be expected with the poor exchange rate as the cost and pricing of the car must be calculated in euros and then exchanged somehow into £ to meet the pricing model used when designing the car.

I think that we will see a price increase in the next brochure OR the loss of features as standard on the models

I dont think the prices increases will happen for the moment as Audi UK are really struggling to sell at the moment compare to last years figures....

I think dealers will be looking at giving you discounts to get your business..

I think you will find Audi have sold about the same amount of cars this year to last?

If you check the figures of regional areas car for car model rather than averages you will see if have dropped compared to last year..

The release of the New A4 and Q5 has helped business a lot for 2008 -

The used car market has really taken a hit this year, plus private servicing and repairs. (Majority corporate customers)

Overall Audi has been very successful compared to other major UK brands which shows they are a very strong brand in this market..
