Our new 03 Sharan is great except it vibrates under braking at high speed. I assumed it was the discs and changed them but the fault is still there.

The discs I took off looked also brand new so I am guessing the previous owner tried the same thing. The tracking is fine and there is no knocks even over large bumps so I am a little confused, any ideas......

Yes probably lower arm bushes but who is to say it is not a warped hub? I would do a disc run out check using a dial gauge.

OK I think I will change the lower arm bushes on the front then. There are a lot of front arm rear bushes on various websites but no one lists the front bush, am I right in assuming then it is the rear bush that cause a problem on the front or do I need the front one of a dealer as well?

    Cheers for the replies........

There are other ways of buying parts than ont tinterweb, such as from a VW dealer where you can step into a “shop” and speak to a “person” (OK, OK, we are talking VW dealer spares departments here!!), 7M0 501 541, £9 each front bush and 7M0 407 181 A £15 each rear bush,

It is normally wishbone rear bush that causes problems.
