Engine Coolant Temp Sensor - where?

OK I have now purchased the sensor, and took a quick look under the bonnet today. I found several sensors which could be the right one, but I am not 100% sure and I dont have a Haynes manual. A blue one down by the passenger side coming off the side of the rad? or one not sure what colour off the top of the engine.

Can someone point me in the right direction. I have read on the internet that its on the drivers side coming of the top of the head gasket. I have also read that it requires a full change of coolant and bleed the system. Found some pics but its from an audi A4 are they similar?

I have a passat B5 130tdi.

thats the drivers side then I take it?

On the top of the rear of engine?

Drivers side yes.It is the only sensor in that area,a connector with 4 wires runs to it
