My car is fitted with standard Halogen headlamps, not Xenon.
I am considering replacing the front sidelights on my 2007 A4 Avant with LED units. Having read a few threads, I have two questions:

    1. How do you get the headlights out to access the rear of the headlamp units? Some suggest you have to remove the bumper! I have done this on my B6 previously (4 T30 screws) but the B7 is different and the headlamp unit won't simply slide out.

    2. If I fit the LED replacement sidelights, will I need to fit resistors to prevent the ECU thinking that I have a blown bulb and therefore illuminate a warning light on the dash?

    Cheers.

the sidelights can be got to by removing the access cover on the back of the lamps, then pull the light out it can be a bit tight but will go with a tug.

as for fitting the led side lights.....tbh dont bother ive looked into this and its way more hassle than its worth, im not looking into PIAA side lights which are stock style side lights but have a bright white light without the hassle of resitors etc

Was that "I'm NOW looking into PIAA side lights"? If that's the case, I am looking to get mine swapped as well.

    If you can help:

    - What is the correct fitment number for these bulbs (501??)
    - What PIAA lights did you go for in the end?

    Thanks
    J
