I have owned my GTC for two years now. During the last two years my windscreen wipers have stopped working six times. The last time this happened was last Friday Nov21st.
My local dealer has had the vehicle back on numerous occasions but can never find a fault. They have replaced the wiper motor etc and re-adjusted the arms. But, when one is travelling in the pouring rain and the wipers just stop working it ia a bit off putting.

Has anyone else heard of this problem????

I think they use the same system as the Phaeton so that is two motors with the control box for the passenger’s side in the driver’s side. If they have both been replaced, I would ask them to replace the onboard supply control unit, component J519, which is just under £300 plus installation and coding.

No they only have one motor with the CM attached to it.but the system does run on the CAN network so I would check the front body control module.and the wiring to it.

I had the same issue with my Bentley GT a few weeks ago, I used a specialist who came out to my home. They found a damaged wire under the heater unit under the bonnet, needed to be fully stripped down to be replaced. I believe this was due to water ingress into plenuem chamber area. Costly but better to get it diagnosed correctly and rectified by a good specialist then to pay the ******* prices.

    Good luck.
