My daughter has just had her 2002 Polo 1.2 serviced only to find it not starting properly. First of all the guy who did it said he had overfilled the oil, then has alledgedly put PD Diesel oil in. Can this cause a problem with the engine running? I think not myself as as far as I believe diesel oil only has extra detergents in it compared to petrol engine oils.

Did he overfill it with diesel oil? did he bother drain it and do it again (i bloody well hope so!)

If the car was overfilled but not driven and drained straigh back out then no problem but if i t was driven then it could of soaked the spark plugs resulting in poor running
