    Faulty clutch pedal switch pulled the contact off it and brake lights out and fault away off the dash . It is the one with the switch at the cylinder now do any of you know now to get at it to replace it do you have to take the pedal out and go in that way or what

    Hi You have to remove the battery and the battery tray,a bit awkward to get at but not the worst of jobs

    Sorry matey it just struck me,you see i work on LHD vehicles,so what i said,might not be the same for the RHD.Bugger it why cant you lot drive on the RIGHT side of the road.What side is the battery on?

    Not going to be easy to remove then now i wish it was lhd is ther any down side in leaving it like this for a wile and just driveing away at her

    Hi I have the same problem want to check via the clutch pedal switch its an 04 TDI is the switch at the pedal or the master cylinder thanks in advance

    This thread is eleven years old, you will get a better response by starting your own new thread. It is on the pedal box above the pedal, part number 1K2 945 511 RDW and £14.83 from a VW dealer.
