i had my wheels aligned 2 months ago all semed fine until i noticed today a new tyre i had fitted at the same was bald on the one side (rear drivers) the other rear was worn but equally all over the tread.

i went back to the place and they got it up on the ramps and seem to think it could be the rear camber that needs adjusting and they dont have the specialist tool to do this.he said all other things were ok (suspension, bushes, arms etc)

could this be the problem and is it much of a job if i can find a vag place to do it or is he feeding me poo poo as i'm not to up quattros i havent got a clue.

    it's a 19.tdi a4 quattro 1998....

If he "thinks" it might be rear camber that says to me he hasn't got the equipment to check rear camber, if he can't check it he can't adjust it accurately, all you need to do is find somewhere that can do "proper" FOUR wheel alignment, most fast fit type places don't, I work in a body shop in Barnsley and do four wheel alignment for insurance companies, a Honda dealer, a Nissan Dealer and many more, and the tracking I've seen done by fast fit places is woefully inadequate, all they check and adjust is front toe, most cars these days need subframe alignment checking first, then rear track and camber adjust, then front camber and castor adjust then finally front toe.
