    Hello,

Thinking of getting the car re- mapped end of this year, is it worth putting on a induction kit or not?

If yes, then which ones should i go for, cause they are a few Induction Kits around like dynamic, KnN and the big green something?

    Cheers!!

    no,it's not worth it.
all you will get is more noise.
they tend to suck in warm air, which is the last thing you want.
a K&N panel filter, dry, in the original housing perhaps, but nothing wrong
with original filter if kept clean.

They are slightly less restrictive (breathes easier) and offer slight gains, especially if your old filter has had it.

Although they can in certain cases clog up the MAF, due to the filter being over-oiled.

Unless you want the noise then it probably is worth it, had my FR re-map then put a K&N induction kit, sounds really wierd to be honest on the tdi, but gives out a satisfying suction noise when you let off the accelerator, and so long as you put it in the right posistion i.e. at the front near to where the old casing sucked air in you shouldnt have a problem with hot air as the cold air will be blown in when your moving.

Admittedly you'l lose some of that low end torque, but (as well as the evil hiss) you'l develop a better top end, so its up to you
