have tried many different products and the swirl marks are still there, i got myself some meg's fine cut no.2 with a rotary polisher, it has taken most of the scratches of but there are still some visible ones, is this because they are too deep to repair?

    thanks

Hard to say....but could be the pad and polish combination are not abrasive enough. I'd say you need to try a combination of pads and polishes to get to the correct combination to get rid of the swirls. Never used a rotary myself so be careful and ensure the paint thickess is sufficient before you start.
