Hi All hope you have all had a good week and are enjoying the weekend weather thus far

Just a quicky here thought i would see if i can get any feedback.

Basically when the turbo kicks in on my GT TDI 150, you can hear what to me sounds like air escaping from the lower part of the engine bay, this only happens for a short period of time untill the turbo fades out again, im thinking possibly a crack or something in the air intake / inductor below the engine bay, as im new to owniing a VW i thought i would try my luck here first incase once of you guys has come across this before.

    Many thanks in advance
    Robbie

Check all the pipes are on properly and not split or it could be a hole the intercooler. Does it still pull well?

yeah still pulls, slight loss of power though i feel, the mrs dosent seem to think so but then again what does she know :P

The sound though is pretty noticable, and definatly air imo, luckily still have a little warranty so should be sorted

If not how much would you gauge a repair job?

    Cheers
    Robbie
