    I've seen a lot of posts recently asking where to find the ports on various cars.

    This information is well documented by the creators of VAG-COM, Ross-Tech.

    Ross-Tech Vehicle Application Charts

    As an example, I have a Passat.

    So I click on the above link, select "VW Passat", scroll to the foot of the page and find that my port is either here;

    or here;

    Simple!

    Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

    This is for the MK1 Sharan, Galaxy & Alhambra

    The MK2 Sharan Galaxy and Alhambra is located underneath the bottom of the dashboard, in line with the fuse box access panel on the driver's side of the car. Stick your head under the dashboard and you will see the pink connector

    On the older B5 A4 it in the passenger ashtray

    One rule of thumb is that EU regs state is needs to be accessible from the drivers seat, common place is in the drivers foot well
