Hello all, im back again, this time with some strange happenings. My 2.6 cab (94 plate) is running fine however does anyone know why my coolant warning light flashes but the temp and coolant is fine inc all levels, ive taken out the bulb behind the dash for now as it is driving me mad.

And secondly i have replaced the brake warning bulb behind the dash because the last one was broken and hanging on wires when i brought the car but it doesnt light up when the ignition is turned on??

many thanks for all your help so far.

Try cleaning the probes in the coolant tank, give them a scrape with a screwdriver.

The coolant temperature sensor also gives an overtemperature alarm. It is possible for the alarm circuit to fail and the gauge circuit to remain intact, to test, try putting the lamp back in and unplugging the sensor?

The sensor was used on many different models, more info here:
