Happy with the result, not so happy with oil being in the pipe between the cooler and inlet manifold and covering the MAP sensor. checked oil when I got home and it is about a litre overfull, going to drain a bit tomorrow, but now need to find out if this is the reason for the pipes having oil in or is this normal?
Checked service history and oil was changed at VW dealers 700 miles ago.
Hi Potnoodle, how is your car faring now? Did you use the spray cleaner as advised to clean the vanes? I've been having similar problems for a while now, my car has done 157k miles; all I do is switch off and on the ignition to reset, but would really like to resolve this issue without having to get a garrage do guess work on my car. I would really be grateful if you can update me and if there is any one here who can help carry out this task (I'm not skilled enough!). I work around the m3 down south through the week and back in Merseyside Friday to Sunday. Obviously would pay reasonable amount for work done.
