    Hi,
I'm struggling to get my iPod linked up.
Can you tell me if the following combination is possible and if so where I can get a suitable lead.

I have a 54 plate A3 with Concert radio, part number8p 00 351 86C and I have a VAG iPod adaptor kit from my MKiv golf that had a Gamma radio. The number on the "black box" part of the kit is 000 051 444K. I have both leads that came with the kit and neither fit the A3, I asked at the local dealer and they supplied a lead but when I got it home I realised it was the same as one of the leads I already had! (A8E0 051 445A)

I'd be really grateful if you could advise a) is it possible and b) the number of the lead I need before I try and sell the kit I have and have to buy another from Audi.

    In advance......Many Thanks

    John.

    Thanks for the reply!
OK, here's the leads I have but don't seem to fit, I assume I should be looking for the multi play cd socket as it was on the golf, if it's going to work at all!
I have included a pic of the "black box" if this helps.

    Thanks again for your time!

the blue connection is for double din units
the other is for single din (yellow green and blue) this is for yours so you can de pin the connection and repin into the black cd changer connection on your radio or cheat and remove the yellow and green plugs from the loom then cut the black connection on the radio and push your remaining blue connection onto the radio. If that makes sense and connect the earth (brown) to the radio (brown) earth lead.

If this is generation 3 radio then no because aux input function isn't supported so you need to retro fit a 2009 radio unit with aux and then change long code bite 11 .Also if the radio is disconnected it will go into component protection.
