I've just upgraded the Symphony II in my 2004 A3 to a 2008 Concert for the MP3 playing ability. Everything is fine apart from the radio looses signal easily. The 8P A3 works on an amplified aerial system, the Symphony II had a standard aerial connection and a 'diversity' connection (I think it's called). The 2008 Concert has two of these small aerial connections - I had to use an adapter to make the standard aerial fit. What are the two connections on the Symphony II and what are they on the new Concert? How can I make the Concert radio work properly?

You need to change to a dual HF system.

Thanks for the link - I assume these parts replace the rear antenna amplifiers (one in the boot lid the other abover the parcel shelf)?

Not sure if this is off topic but do you know if that would also help with poor reception in a Golf.
I have a Fakre adaptor but the stereo had 2 and I am only using 1 of them
