I'm considering getting my A6 2.7tdi SE remapped. The reason for this is mainly that I’ve heard it will help increase the mpg that I get from the car. I currently get about 35mpg with varied driving around town and on the motorway.

Can anyone tell me what sort of increase on the mpg I would be likely to get and is it worth doing? I've been quoted about £400 to get it done.

    Cheers

I've had mine done. Increase in economy by at least 4MPH and that is with significant performance increase. Certainly not disappointed with it. Be careful though, who ou use.

It's 2005 (April). I think that it was one of the first new shape ones. Where are you based?

    Hi

We are in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

Gains are +39bhp and +80NM of torque. Power is delivered strongly across the rev-range, with no tailing off. Smoothness of delivery is also improved.

MPG will usually improve from between 3 - 6mpg

Wha sort of chip are you looking at? I am thinking of doing the same thing with my 3.0tdi quattro. I was going o use a bluefin from s'chips but they are £599! I was wondering who else is out there that will stand over the remap! I would prefer a remap unit like a bluefin that I can plug in and activate / deactivate myself as I wish...
