Searched through the forum and can't find any old threads, so here goes:

Doing damper change on my 1999 b5. Haynes does not explain how to remove the trim to get to the strut mount to remove bolts (it just says remove carefully!!). I've removed the boot floor/flap, I've removed the boot 'sill'. I am working on the off side panel and have managed to free most of the trim card upto the seat lock pin. I've loosened the pin but do nt want to remove for fear of the nut fropping into the body work.

How do I remove the trim card? WHat am I missing??

    Any help appreciated.

seat lock pins screw into captive nuts so they wont fall down. trim panels clip in but 'remove carefully' is good advice, i think i broke half the mounts the clips are mounted in when i removed mine
if i remember correctly there are a few screws aswell where shelf clips in but no hidden ones
