I know this guy and tell you what, he's obsessive about it all - on the plus side, he'll do other people's cars for a really good price

Makes you wonder just how good your car could look.

I always think mine looks good after a wash and polish, but these guys would be devastated! Probably verging on suicide!

Well personally I really couldn't be bothered to do what he's done, nor pay the bill for it if I'm honest.
That said, it's stunning at just what a difference it made to got through that work. Looks OK at the start but stunning afterwards.

I'm into my detailing quite heavily but I have to admit, the first thing I'd do with a brand new vxr would be to drive it, not spend hours cleaning it

Regards the price above for an A4, I would say not to go for a detailer recommended on a forum, but ask around your social circle, find out if anyone's used one already, word of mouth is far more important.

There is of course, Elite Detailer, the chap who sponsors this here subforum

I saw this thread years ago and thought "Too far!"
Fast forward to last week when I bought my first clay bar starter set.

There was a spoof of this thread where a guy had bought a jacket from eBay and was testing the thickness of the material and checking the stitching and stuff, consulting third parties etc.
Unfortunatly I can't find it! Google has let me down.
