    Hi Guys,

Need some advice. I went over a rusty metal pole (I should have been paying more attention - thought it was a twigg at the time), which flung up and dented and scratched the front of my car on impact. The dent isn't so bad, but the scratch is pretty deep, i think showing the bare metal.

Anyone have any good hints/tips as I don't want it to start rusting.....

    Many Thanks

    Jalz

try someone like ChipsAway, they should be able to fill the scratch without having to do the whole panel.

P.S. there are others like this one, they are the best known.

Thanks. They do look good. Any ideas what their prices start at.

The dent is no way near as big as the ones on the website?

    Cheers

Call them for a quote. I think they were about £60 for a minor repair.

I have a colleague who called Chips Away to repair a stone chip to his bonnet on his 3-series - told the call handler the damage, where it was etc etc. The technician then came to fix the damage then declared that they do not repair bonnets because of the over spray into the vents, otherwise they would have to take the bonnet off!!

I would have thought they don't have much of a business model without repairs to the most likely area to get chips!!

Let us know if they agree to do it - it may have been an operator who couldn't be bothered....

No, no call out fee, but the operators are franchisees and perhaps he couldn't be bothered to do the job...
