I have got an A4 2.8 quattro 1996 and want to reset the service indicator. I have a full version of vag.com 311-2 and went on to the ross.tech website to get the tutorial, but the website has been updated and no longer gives the tutorial for the servce light reset. Can anyone let me know the process or show me a link to the right part of the site so i can finally sort out the flashing light?

    Cheers Mike.

I beleive this is the page you are looking for: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audi_sri.html

I found it using the search bar on our web site and writing Service Reminder in it.

The early 8D clusters typically supported the mentioned Adaptation Channel 02 for reset. The other Time and Distance channels are listed on that page. Audi Service Interval Reminders

Have you checked to see if Channels 5, 6, 7 and 8 are valid?

To all thanks for the reply's. I managed to find the relevant page on the rosstech website and reset the light. It has been bugging me for over 12 months now.

On a slightly different matter my trip computer is wildly optimistic, I have read else where that you can change one of the channels to adapt it to the real value. Does any one know the channel and what i should be changing it to?

    Thanks again.

I don't know if that applies to this cluster. Post an Auto-Scan from the car if you want me to look at it.
