Audi Specialist in Reading / Maidenhead?

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knew of an Audi Specialist in the Reading area, that's honest and not going to break the bank.

I've been taking my Audi to the local garage in Henley on Thames for the last few years, but the bills are getting steeper recently. Just had a bill for £520 for a basic service and 2 CV gaiters fitted. Does that sound steep?

I've been very happy for a number of years with Harper Motors (google them) in Maidenhead having had some bad and expensive

experiences with a main dealer. He's looked two of the family Passats and a Fabia vRS and a company Galaxy (TDi). They also fixed a problem with my neighbour's Golf TDi that evaded the main dealer's best efforts. Prices are very reasonable ( for the Valley!) and the boss is the guy who looks after your car - a rarity these days! If you specifically want Audi specialism you could try the Autopool in Iver - add 20 minutes from Maidenhead.

thanks for your response. It's worth knowing that. The place I go to charges £55 an hour, which sounds reasonable, but they make sure they work on the car for a few hours to get the bill up. They charged me £170 for a new battery last year!

If you want to save some money, you could buy a Haynes manual for your car and do it yourself. The manuals are very good and in detail. Why pay someone £55p/hour, when if you do it yourself, you could save that money + VAT. Changing a battery should be relatively straightforward. Its the credit crunch remember...........
