    Hi,

i have somehow managed to get a CD to stuck in my CD player (VW RCD300). Its just not coming outtt...

Any idea how to force it out?

My passat is still under 3 yr Manuf warranty, so is taking it to dealer an option? (I am not sure if the warranty cover these thins)

    Many Thanks
    WH

Warranty should cover it, if not at least a goodwill gesture from the dealer might be in order.

One thing I often find with some navigation units is there is a build up of grease on the roller eject mechanism. This causes the roller not to grip the disk when ejecting. what I advise in those instances is to get a blunt cutlery knife and carefully insert it into the CD slot so it goes in above the disk. Just about an inch ontop of the disk itself is enough. then pressing down gently on the disk itself, press the eject button.

    Hope this helps.

Unfortunately my car is out of warranty and the eject button (RCD 300) is starting to stick in and not ejecting the cd anymore. Has anyone come across this before and is there a quick fix? Or is it a money maker for the dealer?

I had a similar problem with my RCD500, and as the car was only 2 years old it was covered by warranty. They replaced the unit with a new one, so take it to the dealer.

I've heard of people fixing it themselves by taking the unit apart, but not worth it if covered by warranty.

Having removed the unit from my VW Touran and tried all sorts of tricks, this fixed it for me:
