Hi Everyone. This is my first post, so please forgive my ignorance if this has already been covered. I'm not sure of the name of the part I need, so I'll describe it; it's a large sheet of molded heavy plastic that is bolted to the underside of the car. It protects the oil pan and the bottom of the motor. I was stuck in the mud recently, and when I was finally able to extricate the car, this bottom shield had broken off. I'm finding that the interior noise level has increased significantly and I think I'd like to replace the shield. I just don't know what it's properly called, and so can't identify the part to order it. Can anyone help, please? Thanks...

is it really necessary? mine decided to start falling off the only time i bother testing out my cars top speed (125 out of a 90bhp diesal) and so i did a road side repair by ripping the bugger off! i still have it but refitting it seems a waste of time?
