    Hi all

Quick question..... you know when the windows are down (all 4 or any other combo) and you lock the car with the keyfob/remote and keep the lock button pressed, and all the windows roll up and likewise when it`s all locked and the windows are up and you press the un-lock button and hold it to roll all the windows down??

Well how does one enable this feature??

My bro-in-law has a 06 plate Golf which has this feature and my blood bro has a W plate Audi A6 with this feature and yet my 1.8T 20v Sport Turbo doesn`t have it. Or does it??

I have tried up and down to no avail, however, they do go up and down when I lock/unlock the car with the key in the drivers door!?!?

I`ve also tried all kinds of combo`s with the remotes and the keys to see if I could enable it, all to no avail.

    So, any ideas people??

    Many thanx y`all!!

    Al

yup, you should be able to do it with vagcom.

vagcom is a car diagnostic program that runs on windows and can be used to change option codes, that change the way windows/locks etc work, check for fault code and lots more.

the manufacturers website is www.ross-tech.com. i think the recoding that you need can be done with the shareware version of vagcom and a cheapy cable (approx £15).

sorry if this is teaching you how to suck eggs.
i can provide the links for the recoding as/when you need it

EDIT: i may have led you a little up the garden path. im sure this feature can be enabled on a few cars (audi a4 b6 for example) but im not sure about the whole VAG range.

Hey, I`m new to all this so gimme yr eggs!

So I can get one of those cables from that link you provided....I`ve already got the VAG-com SW so I`ll have to wait `til we get back off our hols to `spend more bloody money on that car`!

Any linkage to the destructions as for what I do once I `get in there` would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanx

    Al

    **EDIT**

I`ve been on there and all I can find are products for hundreds of $`s...any pointers on where to find the lead/whatever for £15??

    Thanx

try Eshrules. currently running a group buy on the cables you need. i use one from him and it works fine

    https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/s...ad.php?t=39193

as for the specific instructions, it is done on a car type/year basis.

    have a look here

    http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/index.html

you can see examples of how to enable the windows under the audi a4 b6 page on the above link. look for 35-central locking code breakdown. however, it may not be relevant to your vehicle.

'Full Closure' can be enabled on the remote on most Audi vehicles with vagcom, however if it is a VW you need software/hardware capable of serial Eprom writing such as VDSPro (vagcom does not allow this), or the remote function can be enabled with a small hardware addon.

Ah yeah, I should have mentioned somewhere that it was on a VW Passat!

So it`s not as straight forward as I anticipated then !?!?!

    Great! Just great!
