Reset Oil Service milage after oil change

I Change the oil on my Audi A4 3000 miles ago but the warning indicator has only just come on.

I have a licensed version of Vag-com and want to reset the indicator to 7K to re align the oil change indicator. Any advice welcome

onzy,did you goto 17 10 channel 2 set to 0 save.
If you wont to reset to time and distance you need to alter the time to 365 and the oil quality and the distance for the dash to configure yuor settings.
If its come on to early then check thermal load content and zero it.

Hi tech, I reset it last time using the manual method and the time before as well. The first oil change I did was when I bought the car and it was 2Kish late. I reset at that time and its been out since. I change the oil every 10K and would like to line it up. Can you set a distance value anywhere?

Can I change it to long-life as well on a 1999 if i wanted to?

long life.But if its been on time and distance since new id leave it as the oil quality will differ

I will leave it as Distance only, So that means 10K miles service or 365 day time

So can I set Channel 42 and 43 to 11300KM (7000 miles) to pull it inline?

yes and reset via 10 02 0 next service and all adaption channels will reset in accordance with time and distance
