I have a Passat Estate year is 02.

The Range from the keyless entry has dropped for about 60 feet to 2 feet.
I am aware of the CCM problems and have checked the CCM, the wiring is fine, all the cable joints are in clear heat shrink.
I think the issue started when the radiator was changed, they had to remove the front of the car to get access, does the remote antenna get routed near this area?
I have also read about some VW having no range on the keyfobs and people added 2nd antenna to the ccm and ran the wire up the "A" post of the car.
I can not identify the colour of the Antenna cable as the Manual does not state a colour and the online diagrams state "NCA"

Has any body got any ideas of how to fix the orginal antenna or about adding a new antenna. Or anything else which may help.

    Thanks

    Karl

Saw this on Top Gear, and tried it myself - it works!

Hold the fob to your head and push the button.....

Alternatively, the 1st thing I'd check is the battery, could save a lot of probs...

I have changed the battery several times, this had made no difference.

There is no way on this planet I will be standing in the car park is some strange position trying to get the damm thing to unlock.
