My parents 96 1.8SE engine code ADZ has developed a leak from one of the switches/sensors that sit atop the oil filter. It is the one nearest the engine block. My question is what do I ask for by way of replacement?

And while I have your attention what is the other one?

    Cheers

This is actually a picture of mine (AAM) from when it had a similar problem 3 years ago.

I have indicated the one that has failed on my parents (ADZ).

The factors offered one that was mentioned as being a direct replacement for the blue one. It is not the blue one that has failed.

I thought I was well prepared with the info I had. Make, model, & engine code etc.

Are they both oil pressure switches?

my best advice is to remove leaking switch and read the code and pressure
rating on top, i've had problems with both facters and vw parts over these switches before. with both insisting they were giving correct switch, it is best to be armed with this info as will save you multiple trips to your parts
store were those guys will try to convince you your wrong and their right.
the wrong switch will give you a headache
