The turbo control vanes are jammed. Remove, striping and clean the turbo exhaust housing and vanes or use the Innotec turbo clean system which does work in some cases.

N75 valve failure is no where near as common as turbo vane jamming. The Innotec process takes about three hours to do and the kit is normally sold at around £50. On top of this a new turbo outlet gasket and nuts are required.

A failed AMM can generate code 17965 and it is worthwhile starting there. Make sure he fits a genuine VAG exchange AMM bought from a VW dealer or TPS.

Sometimes they won’t react to a new AMM until the codes are cleared. Is the loss of power permanent or does it clear each time the ignition is cycled on/off and come back when the car is driven? 17965 with a new AMM will mean a faulty N75 valve, a vacuum leak on the circuit or a failed turbo actuator/jammed vanes.

hi crasher power loss is not permanent but does not always clear when it turned off and back on .some times power loss can happen and power return without the ignition cycled off/on happening .but in the past when power loss has happened as soon as ignition is switched off and back on the power returned. power loss is happening much more lately cheers crasher look forward to your reply
