hi all, just wondering if there is anyone out there that can offer any suggestions to why my 2000 audi cabriolet 1.8 is so sluggish and drinks fuel, its only done 23k from new and all diagnostic checks found nothing wrong,it ticks over and rev`s fine, just feels very sluggish through the gears???

This could be a long shot but check the cam belt timing, when a second hand head was put on mine and all put back together the car ran fine but was not as powerfull as it was before, the solution was the top pulley on the second hand head had been put on back to front and had actually knocked the timing out by five teeth, it was a miracle it ran at all without causing damage! If any work has been done in that area it would be worth a check!?!
