    Is the arm bent or has the flat bush given up?

    The difference between the standard and the R arm is the bush, the standard arm has a voided bush the R (and Audi TT) have solid bushes.

    I had a MK4 Golf which also shares the same arms and I fitted TT solid bushes to the arms. Think they were about £16 each about 2 1/2 years ago.

    Hope this makes sense.

    If you have a beefy bench vice, you can install them with it, like this;

    You'll need to make up a spacer (I used 18mm plywood) and a big socket to bear on the perimeter of the bush.

    Another piccy
