    Hi all,

I've managed to fit an MFD2 unit into my 2005 Passat B6 1.9TDI. The DVD that came with this 2nd hand unit from eBay has V2 printed on it.

What newer map version DVD's are available ?

OK guys forgive me for being stupid but I just bought a Passat with the MFD2 and want to connect an ipod to it. Can someone spell out to me without any abbreviations (lol) what I need to buy. From reading forums it is a cable to plug into the mulitichanger socket yes? xcarlink is one but expensive yes? Are there cheaper options? And will I be able to control the ipod via the unit? Will the ipod control show up on the screen?

I stress again that I am not clued up on this.

    Thanks

    Hi There

The Dice Kit is a good option from the link below, you connect it to the CD Port on the back of the radio.

It will also charge the iPod/iPhones

    Control from stereo and iPod

    Thanks

Thanks for your help however I found the connection. It was a cable that had fallen down the back of the glove box. I hooked it back up and hey presto there was the white connector.

Good thread, a quick question if it's ok....I have an 07 audi a4 with the nav unit and i want to get this clear....the maps on tomtom are made to be installed onto these units??? And i guess it won't be differant to what i have on at the moment? i prefer tomtom you see it looks much better so it would be good if the nav side of it looked more like this.
