My worst nightmare has come along as the sunroof on the mk2 is leaking. It doesnt just drip straight in, its when you drive away and then brake at the end of the road it pours out.

My first thought was try and find a specialist that would just replace the seal but that might be pricey. Also thought about the silicone treatment but this never looks nice.

    Any ideas appreciated!

The panel will have to come out so that is the ideal time to install a new seal which is a delicate job if damage to the panel is to be avoided. That will reduce the amount of water getting in to the tray. Then, the drain tubes may be blocked and they will need blowing out and also the rear drip tray inside the roof may have corroded but there is no way of telling until the panel is out. Other than that, get the gaffer tape out.
