    Hi,
    A good freind of mine has developt a strange fault,Where as after starting engine cuts out... Re start then does same again,one or two more tries then it starts and is ok till the next morning.
    my self i am thinking glow plugs or a sensor of some type,I should also mention he is running on bio,Any help welcome Thanks scott

    Don't laugh at this. The fault is most likely the key (More to the point the RFID chip in it) Mine did the same thing and I was thinking all sorts of horror stories but read to try the spare key and what do you know. Starts first time every time.

    Thanks for that mate,Just had plugs out and one was down... did you have a key type symble on your dash board,This has only just started to apear,Is it an audi job for new key...Lost the spare lol.

    No the key symbol didn't come on. The car fired revved once and cut out. After about 3 or 4 goes it started and worked.
    I actually am still using the spare key so I presume a new key or a recode of the faulty key would cure the problem.
    weirdest thing I have ever come across.

    yes it is fine with the spare key. If I use the original key it does the fault again.

    Key on dashboard = Oil Problem IIRC

    What sort of oil problem???
    It has a seperate oil service light,Do you meen oil pressure??
