VW Polo 2003 rear doors wont lock

The Rear Doors On My Wifes Polo Tdi 2003 5 Door Will No Longer Lock With The Remote, And Now Have To Be Locked Manually. They Also Will Not Unlock With The Remote Either But The Front Doors Work Fine.
Any Suggestions Welcome

probably a failed vacuum pump. might just be a pipe has become disconnected. no idea how to pull modern polos apart so thats as much help as i can give!

Thanks for that g40jon.

Now sorted thanks to vagcom, plugged it in and checked the locking system code 46 the code was set for a two door model, added a digit and hey presto it worked.
Better still, it still works "a week later" heaven knows what happened to change the code in the first place!!!!

If any one needs a vagcom scan, in and around worksop/sheffield area, I can do one for you for a pint or two.

No promises on a quick fix though, as I only received it last week and still finding my way around it.
