    Hi all

this one is a bit complicated and i'm wondering if you can help

I have a Mk4 1.6 golf (AUS) and i have had LPG fitted, now the problem is not the LPG but the petrol, for the past year I have had an engine warning light on, Wv told me it was the Oxygen sensor 1, so last week i had it replaced all seemed well for the first 5 minutes then the light came back on and started stuttering whilst on petrol, when the gas kicked in the light stayed on but no issues when driving

I've taken it to anoher dealer and they have now told me that according to the computer its not receiving any signals from either of the sensors, every time its reset it comes back on..... i'm at a loss as to what to do.... could it be as simple as a fuse or relay that needs replacing, the MOT is in 2 months time and I would like to get this fixed without all the trial and error as thats going to cost me a packet

They didn't write it down for me, however I was there when it was plugged in and he showed me that both Oxygen sensors where showing up as not active,

He erased the faults and tried to active them but nothing was working

Both sensors not working is odd, makes me very cautious. I have had a few AUS engines burn out exhaust valves. Were the codes cleared or left? I would get another read done and post the results.

    Hi,
So i went to the LPG place today to see if the LPG could be causing the problem, after a long chat he explained that the Gas computer was not tied into that part of the system and that the gas air mix was independent
At the same time he did have a look to see what was causing the trouble and his computer did pull up the following codes

    P0130 Sensor 1 bank 1
    P0135 Sensor 1 bank 1
"Heater circuit not connected + a whole host of others but that was the main one"

Now i only wrote this down but he did say it was strainge that both 02 sensors where off line

Please say there is a simple solution to this, i have an MOT in a few months and i want this light gone before that with out paying throught the nose

    Cheers
    Si

You need a specialist to look at that.
