    Default "engine Workshop" – 05-05-2008,01:06 PM
    Hello havin problems lately......

    whilst driving the glow plug light on the dash keeps flashing and the display engine workshop comes up...

    anybody know how much this job is gonna cost and does the wrong oil in the car have anything to do with the problem.

    the car is a 130 pd diesel

    The oil has nothing to do with the message you are receiving,The glow plug light is telling you there is something wrong with the engine management system.It could be anything from a fault with the brake lights to a faulty sensor,you need to have a fault code read

    Hi mate

    Lots of others on the Forum probably had the same problem. Before you go to serious expense try replacing the brake light switch. They cost about a tenner and are a DIY fit. When the switch fails it gives exactly the symptoms you describe.
