    hi was wondering if anybody could help with a problem that as started recently. i have an a4 1.9tdi on the odd ocasion the engine will surge to about 2500 to 3000 rpm for a split second on start up then fall back to normal tick over. it as never done this when the engine is stone cold but after a short run it as happend when re started

    hi my 97 a4 tdi avant did the same thing it also went in to limp mode and a coil symbol flashed on dash . turnd out to be fuel cut of valve located on top of disel pump . cheap and easy job ` hope this helps.
