    Hi I'm completely new to vag com and bought 2 leads one usb and one SKPANG_lead version two.

    I can get usb to connect no probs but errors on 08-Auto-HVAC saying communication error.

    The SK lead does not connect at all. (Can any one advise on this?)

    I have managed an engine fault search and details below. The problem is the seems to lack turbo, no power uphills other than than runs smoothly.

    Also on the dash there is an orange light (0) can anyone advise what the fault is.

    Well, the lack of power uphills combined with the MAF sensor fault would lead me to suggest the MAF sensor itself.
    I have had this fail on my 1.9TDi Golf in the past and the symptoms were identical!!

    As for the orange symbol, any kind of description would be good!!

    It is in orange and on all the time not flashing.

    I'm just guessing but I think that is a brakepad wear warning light.

    Does it not say in your manual??

    Unfortunately don't have a manual at hand.

    Just read on another website that it is a brake pads worn light.

    Is there any telling which side the fault is?

    No, but if you are replacing the pads you should replace both sides!!!

    You should be able to see by looking through your wheels whether it's the front or back. I assume that the back pads have the sensor also!
