    Can anyone advise how to operate the cruise control on a MK4 Golf. When I press the res or set buttons nothing happens,

    i dont actually have cruise control fitted to my golf, but i would have thought something like this would be covered in the owners manual? one thing i would advise though would be not testing it on the road if your not sure lol you could end up being somewhere you'd rather not if you understand me

    Its quite simple : drive to the speed you want and press store/ON and it will keep that speed. To increase, press + to decrease - and use the brake to decelerate and RESET for clearing out the last set speed ! As soon as you take your foot of the brake peddal, it will slowly accelerate to the set speed. Switch to OFF to disable . Will NOT work under 40 Km/h ! Hope this helps !

    I don't have those functions, only Res+, Set - and cancel buttons.

    Any ideas

    It works on the same principlle but only when the speed is above 40-50 Km/h ! Consult the owners manual for more details for your particullar model. Thanks.

    I have the same as you and I have to switch the cruise control on in the first place, there is a on/off on the indicator stalk on mine. When you switch it on I get a light come on, on my dials.

    That was it, someone told me that switch was for the parking lights

    All working fine now
