A3 Aerial amplifier

Hi everybody,

new to the forum so go easy.the radio reception problem i have has been traced to the amplifier which i think lives in the base of the roof mounted aerial.Audi have quoted £157 to fit a new one.
Is there anybody out there who can advise me where i can source one from except audi.The radio is a chorus,car is 02 A3 1.9 tdi.

Thats not a bad price from Audi - I bought one for a customers A4 a while ago and it was just under £120 trade.

Might be worth having a look yourself as most of the A4 ones seem to be a broken earth tab on the board (not sure if the A3's are the same but might be worth a look)

A quick dab with the soldering iron might save you £160
