DVD SAT NAV PLUS - Bluetooth

Just bought an 08 A3 with DVD SAT NAV PLUS. Should have got Bluetooth fitted with the car... Dunno why I did'nt Doh !
Been to 2 Audi Dealers today asking if they would fit it.... NO !


Can it be done as a retro fit... ???? Don't really want to stick a parrott on the dash e.t.c...

Frankly, I wouldn't go to the expense. I joined this forum to try to find out how to connect a phone to the system - factory fitted in my new Passat estate 4 Motion, linked to MFS wheel, pop-up keypad (next to steering wheel) & overhead voice activation. I've tried Motorola, Nokia & O2 phones but none worked. Judging by results in the archive section, I see that everyone has had problems unless they had a particular model of Nokia mobile. They, like me had been to their local main dealer (completely usless), local in-car specialist (helpful, but no answer). It seems strange that VW have designed a system that no one seems to know anything about. If it requires particular makes & models of phone to work, why don't they publish the list? It isonly half thought through - much like the DVD navigation system. The database on this is so limited/out of date, I've reverted to using the TomTom I used with my previous V5. At £200 it out performs the £1800 VW version in every way.
I'm particularly sad as this is the 3rd & most expensive Passat I've had and, so far (1000 miles), it is the most disappointing.
