It seems that I have blown the turbo on my A6 1.9tdi PD130, its a 2003 53 reg, I am looking for a supplier that is cheaper than Audi who are quoting £1200, French, Swedish and German £800.00.

The turbo also drained my Engine of oil, but no distance was travelled, but this apparently tells you the type of turbo.

I will get the serial numbers off the turbo as soon as it has been removed.

Any suggestions would be greatly received and appreciated.

    Cheers
    Craig

Explain !! Was the engine running when it emptied the engine. How smoke was/is it. Regards Peter

Yes the engine was running, accelerating down a dual carriageway, loss of power, lots of white smoke coming out of the exhaust, I had to drive about 600 yds to get off the dual carriageway, but I was travelling at about 15mph low revs.

The engine still starts and drives, but I had to be AA'd back to my local garage who are to investigate tomorrow, but I know they will probably say 'new turbo'.

Any of the longitudinal engined GT1749VA turbo's should fit ok (AWX).

As will the virtually identical 2.0ltr 16v 140bhp common rail units.

    A4, A6, Passat etc.

'ive got two if your near st helens then £50'

A8 Tech, thanks for the message, can you tell me if these are definitely the correct one for this car, are they recons, secondhand, and do you have a reference number on them, I will get the garage to check the numbers on mine and see if they are the same.

Can you also send me a text to 07767 432224 and I will call you regarding.

Please note that I will be away for 12 days, so I can come and collect upon my return.

    Cheers
    Craig

    Attachment 2281

    Attachment 2282

Attachment 2283 part number 038145702G.I have sent you a text and ready for collection when your ready. This one was taken from a low mileage unit. The reason it was replaced was the owner was buying the car from his fleet company and asked fro the turbo to be replaced, its is good order and no defects.I wouldnt sell it if it was defective as i would damage my reputation on this site, also for £50 its covering any issues if there were any with the unit. The second unit is from a 60,000 mile engine that suffered a cambelt failure due to incorrect firment of the tensioner by another person and a full engine and turbo was replaced.Again the turbo is fine but its been stood for 1 year and has some surface corrosion.Only the 40,000 unit is shown and before anyone asks no one was misold a turbo here as the second unit was replaced as a precaution to the new engine.I also have 140 bhp a3 turbo.I am a magpie,Regards jon
