Audi Main Dealer Service

On another discussion topic Crasher ventured that it annoys him when many of us including myself call main dealers '********'.

Have to say I was pleasantly surprised when I went to pick up my 2.7T yesterday. Full AVS2 service for a set price of £299. Apparently they had a special promotion on.

OK it isn't desperately cheap but not bad for a main dealer...............unless anyone knows different!!

you could do it yourself 6 times over for that cost.....

Well b8 and a5 will be very cheap for avs as the new service system comes into place and the new ignition key can store fault codes so you can pop in and stick the ignition key in the key reader at the service reception for us to read fault codes and service info.However no one in the uk has a key reader yet.Anyway back to the new 3 year service regime,oil change will be very quick as there is no need for the vehicle to be raised on a ramp as the oil is now sucked out which reduces labour cost.I dont have the exact info to hand but thats the way its going to reduce running costs and also the diagnostic 5051b now has the function to check for automatic software updates from the factory server to keep your vehicle uptodate.I hope it all works as it should.

It's cheap, I just hope they do a complete job. I will call Mercedes dealerships ******** because they ripped me off. £500 for a service and all they did was change the oil, put an air freshener in it and wash it. £500! I only sent it in because I was getting shot of it and I thought it would be best to keep the full Merc service history it had when I bought it.

I haven't found the need to call Audi yet, as I service the car myself.
