    i bought a a4 about 3 days ago... and decided to fit my stereo today... whilst trying to find somewere to put power lead through my bulk head i noticed a large puddle of water under the servo, and in the top left corner (near left bonnet hinge).

    obviously the drain holes are blocked somwere. could some 1 please tell me where they are.

    There are two. One under the battery, and a second just under the brake master cylinder. You'll need to take out the battery and the battery shelf to get to them.

    There's a pretty good guide linked here somewhere.

    EDIT: This is the one I used.

    If this fault is left, water flows down the air intake, and fills the floor pan, taking out the central locking & comfort ECU's

    Make sure you don't leave it too long !

    If you also get strange dash faults that can also be linked to water ingess via this route.

    think i better get on it asap... it has been like it for a long while i would say as there was a plant growing in there!!!

    cheers for the advice peeps... i think im lucky so far, floor seems dry!

    also just seen how much for a cam belt change!! bloke i bought it off said it was changed no more than 3000 miles ago but have no proof of this. i knew audis were expensive but F**k me!! lol

    Just to emphasise not too leave it too long. This is the plenum chamber fault. Search for it on the forum, then you'll know exactly what you are letting yourself in for if you do leave it.

    Just had a look at that tutorial,should my A4 have a cover like that over the battery and master cylinder?Because it hasnt at the moment hahaha.I alway thought it was a bit odd having them both exposed.
