Fitting remote locking to 80 tdi.

Afternoon all, Im thinking of fitting remote locking to my 80. Has anyone fitted it and is it easyish?? Theres self fit kits of the bay for about 30 quid. Or shall i just stick with the key or pay someone to fit it?

Hi I got one from germany It looks ok justlike latest oe fitment but the instructions are obviously in german as well as translated chinese english I found the wire guages to be very thin strands and quite difficult to mate up with the existing pump the votex or plug n play would appear to be worth the extra in saved time also the flip key blades do not feel like they will last many seasons - bit thin! After 4 0r 5 hours fiddling around it doesnt seem to want to unlock the car just puts interior lights on ! use a kit made by a recognised alarm manufacturer i would say
