    hi
I own a 2001 130pd passat just noticed diesel loss from passenger side of engine any ideas what this could be?
iam also in possession of the usual alarm problem and just had some wiring replaced to my headlights
however it still drives great and retuns 55 mpg plus on motorways and I love driving it

If its from the left hand side, could it be leaking from the fuel filter?? I'm assuming the later b5.5's have the filter in the same place? Maybe its leaking from the housing itself or a pipe going to it?

Check the allen bolt in the centre of the fuel filter housing. There is a rubber o-ring under the bolt head which can leak.
