I have a 2001 (Y) Golf GT TDI 115, 6 Speed, Metallic Blue, 170k Mileage, 11 months Mot, 5 months Tax, 3 Prev Owners, FSH, Winter Pack (i.e. Heated Seats), Climate Control. Generally good condition apart from mark on Passenger mirror and Rear Bumper. Only Mechanical Work need doing is CV Joints as sometimes clicks on left turn.

What do you reckon this is worth as i will be looking to sell soon to make space for the MK6!

Is £1600 - £1700 too much to expect?

You might be lucky to get in the region of 1500-2100

A figure of close to £2100 sounds great, but as it has its problem with the turning i don't think id get £2100! I'd be happy with £1700 taking into consideration the mechanical work needed doing, but im sure cv joints are about £60/side? i just dont want to go through the work at the moment due to time and work commitments.

if you get that price for it, then i feel really bad cause i took a 1999 1.8 20v gti from some for £1300, that only had 55000 miles on it and full vw history, with leather seats, hope thay don't find out.

£1300! That's a steal - think you did well there.

    55000 miles on a 10/11yr old car!

They must have just driven it on the driveway! But still a bargain!

I've just paid £2000 for a 2001 (Y) Golf GT TDI 115 6 speed, though silver, with 145k, a full VW service history, 2 owners, 3 months tax, 9 months MOT. Generally good nick bar a worn stereo knob and drivers door handle area.

if thats any reflection. and i reckon i did on the good side of average?
