Bp ultimate diesel

Does anyone know if putting Bp ultimate diesel in the gt tdi 170 makes much difference in the performance to ordinary diesel??????Thanks.

Hi again!!

I dabbled with both BP's Ultimate and more recently Shells V-Power diesel and I found it ran slightly smoother. Not really faster, but smoother if you know what I mean!

Whether its worth the extra 3-4 quid a tank, i'm not sure, but I plan on doing it every so often just cause!!

Remember though, you'll need to put in at least two full tanks to see the benefit so that it clears out any regular diesel first

I just think its a way of increasing profit margins, now the price of diesel is 1.10 per Litre watch the sales fall. The garage near where i work put in 2 pumps of V-power and they always seem free even when the station is rammed!!

Why not try Millers Diesel Power Sport 4 if you want to perk things up a bit.

Thanks for the replies.I think ill just stick with ordinary diesel,cos as use say its so expensive now.Every time you go to the pumps you find the price has gone up "very annoying"

I've never been convinced by the ultimate or v power range but now I'm being badgered to buy the stuff from shell (£1.19 a litre!!) so the little brother can have the ferraris! I kept the first one for myself...
